When you're ready to sell Virginia land preservation tax credits, contact us and make arrangements for us to review your easement documents:
Recorded deed bearing recordation information
Full copy of appraisal
IRS Form 8283 with supplemental statement
Contemporaneous acknowledgement letter from donee
Form LPC-1
Virginia Department of Taxation credit acknowledgement letter
Baseline documentation report
After we review your documents, we'll send you a contract to complete. As sales occur, we'll send you transfer forms to sign before a notary. When we receive your notarized transfer forms and the purchasers' checks, we complete the closings and send you the checks for your proceeds.
Each year we've sold all of the land preservation tax credits that sellers have asked us to sell before year-end. We've been able to complete closings as early as March and April for sellers who desired first and second quarter closings.
